Arrival into Kiev

In fact, despite the hour, it seemed to take ages to fall asleep. It was a very bumpy train journey. But fortunately I eventually drift off and DO get some sleep.

Dawn breaks and it is a lovely day, the golden morning sun lighting up the greens of the treed countryside outside.

The toilets - I am sure you want to know - stayed clean, a real tribute to the staff.

Another welcome cup of tea to start the day.

And so we arrive into Kiev, capital of Ukraine (pop. 2.8 million).
