Overnight train: Odessa to Kiev

Our cabin is actually quite nice, no bathroom. But also nowhere to put our huge bags except in a small rack above each bed. We had to open our suitcases (we had packed our pjs etc. separately into our backpacks so we wouldn’t need to access them!) to retrieve ocky straps so we could balance the suitcases on the rack and tie them securely. This consumed the entire half hour prior to departure ... 

The conductress came through offering tea and coffee and we were grateful for the bottled water as it was so hot and humid. It seems there is a conductor for each carriage. The toilet at the end of the carriage seems to be in good condition - so far. There is even a can of room spray in it! I can’t believe that it is midnight in no time at all it seems. Off to bed, sleepy head!!
